Agreement to Terms
Welcome to MasterEdge Troy Tree Services. By using our services, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before scheduling any work with us.
When you hire us for tree services, you're entering into a contract with MasterEdge Troy Tree Services. These terms outline what you can expect from us and what we need from you to get the job done right.
Our Services
We provide professional tree care services including tree removal, trimming, pruning, stump grinding, emergency services, and more. Each service comes with its own specific requirements and procedures.
Before we start any work, we'll give you a free quote that breaks down exactly what we'll do. Once you approve the quote, we'll schedule your service at a time that works for you.
Your Responsibilities
Here's what we need from you:
- Provide accurate information about your property and the trees that need service
- Ensure our crew has clear access to the work area
- Mark any underground utilities, sprinkler systems, or hidden obstacles
- Keep pets and children away from the work area during service
- Inform us of any special property conditions or concerns before we start
Payment Terms
Payment is due when the work is complete unless we've arranged different terms with you. We accept cash, check, and major credit cards. For larger projects, we may require a deposit before starting work.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, just let us know at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations may result in a service fee to cover our scheduling costs.
Safety and Insurance
Your safety is our top priority. We carry full liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage for all our crew members. Our team follows industry safety standards on every job.
We'll take reasonable precautions to protect your property, but tree work can be unpredictable. We're not responsible for pre-existing damage, hidden defects in trees, or damage caused by acts of nature during or after our service.
Permits and Regulations
Some tree work requires permits from local authorities. You're responsible for obtaining any necessary permits before we begin work. We can help you understand what's required, but we can't proceed without proper authorization.
In Troy, NY, certain trees may be protected by local ordinances. Make sure you have permission to remove or significantly alter any trees on your property.
Warranty and Guarantee
We stand behind our work. If you're not satisfied with our service, let us know within 7 days and we'll make it right. Our warranty covers workmanship issues but doesn't extend to natural tree decline, disease, or pest damage that develops after our service.
Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for our services. We're not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or consequential damages arising from our work. This limitation doesn't apply to damages caused by our gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of our services means you accept the updated terms.
